Civil Hospital Rahim Yar Khan is updgraded and new name was District Head Quarter Hospital. DHQ Hospital have facility of 62 beds in early days.
In 1974 increase beds facility and total beds was 144. In 1974 new ward was built made by government and name of the ward is T.B ward .
T.B ward has ability of 36 beds all equipments. So total beds facility in hospital was 180. In 1978 number of beds was increase 180 to 360 .
In 1984 Nursing school and Hostel for nursing made for nurses training affilated with D.H.Q hospital.
In 1978 Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan made 250 beds facility hospital for womens and childrens near D.H.Q hospital.
Now this hospital have Main operation theater , and three Small operation theaters in Wards and two labour rooms are working. C.C.U , I.C.U and Blood Bank also made in this hospital. In 1998 made this hospital Autonomious body and new name of hospital is Sheik Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan.
